We already  know H. Hargrove is an accomplished artist whose original oils and  limited editions have been widely collected for many years, but what you may not know is that next to painting and of course his Havanese dog Sophie which he has featured in every Christmas painting for the past nine years of her life is that Hargrove is a gourmet chef. You may have recognized his passion for food  in his beautiful paintings of giant peppers,  lemons, oranges and apples and how he masterfully recreates them in his still lives like Abbondanza and Life is a Bowl of Cherries.
Friends and collectors have enjoyed delicious dinners at his Tuscan style farmhouse in NJ.
Born in Italy Hargrove grew up enjoying many fish dinners that his mom made, but when he got to America, he fell in love with Maine lobsters and this was the inspiration for the humorous  lobster collection of paintings and mat prints. Enjoy!
